Fact: The Fear Dark festivals will be their first shows out of Scandinavia! Sweden is known for their great melodic death-metal bands. But Taketh is not just one out of many. With ´Freakshow´ (CATALOG # FD021) Taketh hit the streets with their raw, nearly metalcore sounding debut-cd. Influenced by At The Gates and In Flames they tried to create their own sound.
The story of Taketh started in military service when David and Mikael met. They soon found out they shared a passion for metal and started writing songs together. Johan, the brother of David, joined on drums and they started doing the first shows. It took several years before they finally decided to start up Taketh. Lars joined the band on bass and new shows were played.
In the beginning of 2005 Fear Dark from Holland noticed Taketh and the label decided to sign them. Taketh entered the Golden Cut Studio in Sweden to record ´Freakshow´, which is released in Fall 2005 by Fear Dark. In the meantime Taketh found a second guitar-player called Atahan. And so everything is ready to get the freakshow started…

Eluveitie >From the land of Helvetia they bring you a feast of mercilessly wild Celtic dancing: Eluveitie. Formed in 2003 as a studio-project the band decided to play rough, hard and straight from the heart coming metal, mixed with mystical, primordial Celtic folk-music. In some of the lyrics Eluveitie use Helvetic Gaulish, a more or less forgotten language, originally spoken by the ancient celtic clan of the Helvetians. Also Eluveitie is a Gaulish name and means ´I am the Helvetian´. Not only the traditional lyrics, but also the use of many different traditional instruments makes Eluveitie a very interesting band. Maybe that´s the reason why their debut EP ´Vên´ sold out within a couple of months. After forming a real band and playing some shows, including one as support act for Skyforger, the band signed to Fear Dark. In 2004 the Dutch label did a re-release of ´Vên´ (CATALOG # FD014) with some new recordings, some new artwork and a complete new mastering. In 2005 Europe got known Eluveitie, as the band joined the Fear Dark Festivals through Germany and Holland. They also played as support-act with bands such as Cruachan and Korpiklaani. Besides touring Eluveitie recorded a song to join a Tribute to Falkenbach. At the moment Eluveitie is writing new songs for their upcoming full-length album ‘Spirit’, which will be released by Fear Dark in 2006. Travis Smith (Opeth, Nevermore, Anathema) will make artwork for this cd. Expect a new masterpiece of Celtic pagan metal…

The third masterpiece of Morphia, called ´Fading Beauty´ (# FD013), is now available. Again Morphia from Holland brings you a mix of symphonic doom and gothic-metal. ´Fading Beauty´ tells about the depths of darkness, death and struggles in live. Started in 1995, Morphia developed from a death-metal band into a symphonic doom-metal band with a gothic touch. In 1999 their debut-cd was released. Soon Morphia was noticed in both Holland and Germany and the band played shows with After Forever, Epica, Orphanage and Imperia. With the release of ´Frozen Dust´ (# FD006) on Fear Dark the band got the chance to reach a larger audience. Morphia joined the Fear Dark Festivals in Holland and Germany in 2002 and 2004. They also got the chance to play at several German festivals, including a show at the eve of Wave-Gothic Treffen. The growing number of fans all over the world will certainly continue with ´Fading Beauty´, their best album up-to-date.
